Our filling station attendant is called MARTA

MARCON is one of the leading suppliers of automated loading and unloading systems for tanker trucks, rail tank cars, and tanker ships that carry mineral oil products. Our automated facilities consist of three levels which communicate with each other:

 The field level:

The field level is made up of sensors (like initiators, switches) and actors (like motorvalves, pumps) which create the interface to the process. The sensors and actors are connected to the second level (control level) discrete, point-to-point or via field bus.

 The control level:

The control centre monitors all processes and security issues and controls the field level.

The measurement database collates all measurement signals into a database (e.g. from counters or scales) and converts these into documents for custody transfer (of course you may not want this function so it can be switched off). The measurement system is a part of the second level (control level).

 The loading computer:

The third level is the administrative level. This is where MARTA works and automatically administers the loading and unloading that is going on at the installation.

MARTA has more than 25 years experience in automation of plants.

Our centralized computer system will satisfy even the most demanding of our client’s requirements. It is very flexible and thanks to its modular structure easy to adapt to the particularities of the diversity of installations and tasks. MARTA integrates seamlessly into installations with existing field instruments. MARTA can also communicate with the most diverse of databases, can run on different operating systems and “speaks” the local language of its users. In addition MARTA supports the integration of commonly used tanker-based measuring systems (Tank gauging systems).

Where MARTA is in her element

MARTA’s potential really comes to the fore when it is installed in large and complex refineries which place high demands on a loading computer. For example:

Handling different kinds of transfer systems: tank trucks, rail cars, tanker ships and pipelines in one location
Handling of a large number of filling stations using different measuring methods and instruments.
Additivation of different products in different quantities.
Integration of existing computer systems and network structure with higher level commercial systems as well as process control system

 Flexibility is always attractive

MARTA is also adaptable to small and medium-sized installations. In these cases MARTA is equipped with a simplified user-interface that exactly matches the needs of the installation. The core of the software remains the same. The user-interface only shows the functions that are available. MARTA is so efficient that that for small facilities it can function on its own without being connected to a commercial computer system.

 Choose a unified system

With MARTA, our computerized loading system, in a stroke significantly increase the productivity, safety, and efficiency of your installation.

 Making work fun

MARTA’s user-interface is clearly structured, intuitive, and unified so that daily tasks are simplified for operators and makes it easier for new personnel to get to know and be trained in the system.

 Full control

While MARTA automatically administers the filling process you can keep an eye on the on what is happening at any moment: at the a click of your mouse the operator can see the exact status of a fill. MARTA is can also create a visual representation of your installation and has a reporting and alarm system that immediately protocols events. With MARTA you have complete control over your installation from any computer – all you need is the appropriate software which we will gladly install for you.
