 2track "On-Spot" rail car loading facility at Gdansk, Poland

The Gdansk Refinery owns two "On-Spot" loading facilities with filling tubes, one delivered by Claudius Peters (designed by MARCON employees) in 1975, modernized by MARCON in the early 90s. The second station, also a 2 track rail car loading facility, was designed, engineered, delivered and erected by MARCON in 1997.

 



In detail the scope of supply and performance was:

Project design for the facility
Basic- and Detail-Engineering for the plant and the delivered equipment, including operation and maintenance manuals and as-built-documentation
Delivery of the main equipment as follows:

- Valves for product, waste gas and venting

- Filling valves

- Strainer

- Piping system for product

- Filling mechanism. consisting of:

- Telescope filling tube with vapour recirculation and

  cross carriage

- Filling tube carriage and hydraulic cylinder for

  movement

- Hydraulic unit, mounted on the carriage

- Overfilling device

- Articulated tubes for product and vapour

- cable chain

 

- Detonation traps

- Folding stairs

- Rail car weighing unit

- Marshalling system

- Automation system, consisting of:

- Switch cabinet "plant control system" with PLC

- Operator's desk, containing all necessary operating

  and indicating elements

- Loading computer system (hardware and software),

  including network equipment

- Set of cables (data and control), including

  installation material

- UPS

- Grounding control device

- Video system

- Gas warning system

 

- Pressurizing and room heating and cooling system for operator

  room and switch cabinet room

- Electrically Equipment:

- Main distribution with PLC

- Set of cables (field and power), including installation

  material

- Electrical heating system for product pipes and

  valves

 

Supervision during the installation works
Start up of the rail car loading station
Training of the refinery staff
