The crude oil processing plant in Omsk has commissioned MARCON with the planning, delivery and installation of the largest yet loading station of its kind. MARCON has delivered all equipment parts for filler points and automatic control including programming. The steel construction and equipment assembly took place in close collaboration with our Russian business partners. After a successful initial operation in fall of 2007, the loading station was put into commercial operation.

Running along 3 tracks, 54 rail- tank cars can be filled in with light oil products from MARCON's 8 filling pipes within about 2.5 hours. The resulting hydrocarbon vapours will be transported back through our own filling pipe system, keeping them from the environment, to the gasoline vapor disposal unit for light oil products. The equipment functions with the "on-spot" loading principal. The railroad tank cars are mechanically positioned with help of shunting gear on each track under the filler points. The system automatically identifies and places the various rail tank-cars according to their type and size. Video systems support a precise merging of the hydraulically operated telescopic filling pipes. Our loading computer system “MARTA” ensures precise filling calculations using quantity measure sensors. Consignment size and product-quality data are automatically transferred to the next system level.
